Screening of Carbon-Supported Platinum Electrocatalysts Using Frumkin Adsorption Isotherms

چکیده

An important stage in the development of platinum electrocatalysts on carbon support is analysis their basic parameters. Cyclic voltammetry an effective tool for analyzing structural and electrochemical properties such electrocatalysts. Using Frumkin adsorption isotherms, contribution surface to hydrogen region was well described by three peaks corresponding different crystal structures. The screening carried out black supported black, reduced graphene oxide (RGO), nanotubes (CNTs), nanofibers (CNFs). For most samples, peak area (ESA) energies had close values, but parameters deviated Pt RGO-based samples observed. dependence calculated number accelerated stress test cycles used evaluate effect type stability electrocatalyst structure nanoparticles. experimental results indicate a high degree differences degradation mechanisms based nanostructured compared which are explained metal-support interaction corrosion resistance supports.
